My classes are a mixture of some slow vinyasa flow, to thoroughly warm up the body, combined with longer held postures to develop strength and flexibility through the lens of Anusara Yoga’s Universal Principles of Alignment.  A conscious expansion of breath is also cultivated, to focus the mind and empower the student.

My class schedule is as follows:

NY Loves Yoga, 140 West 83rd St., New York City

Monday evenings, 6:30-7:45, Level I/II

Saturday afternoons, 2:30-3:45, Level I/I

Currently I teach classes that are open to the public at Practice Yoga.  These classes are appropriate for the regular student or for the student who wants to drop in on occasion.  I teach each class with a level in mind, but also provide modifications for those who are managing injuries or are new to the next level. Please see below for my current schedule.
Wednesdays, Level I/II, from 6:30-7:45 pm
Sundays, Level II, from 4:00-5:30 pm
Practice Yoga is located at 140 West 83rd. St, between Amsterdam and Columbus Aves.  Please visit www.practicyoga.com for current rates, level descriptions, and special

Privates vary from classes in that I can accommodate the client’s shifting needs on a daily basis without adhering to a prescribed curriculum.  They are also the ideal way to obtain the deepest level of instruction, which can cover a range of purposes: someone who has special needs such as injury management, beginners to yoga who want to learn the basics before jumping into a class, or experienced yogis who want to understand more advanced poses and can’t get the instruction they need in a crowded class environment.  Private yoga sessions offer the convenience of the instructor coming to you at a time that fits into your schedule, which makes it easier to stick with a consistent practice. They also allow the client more control over the focus and pace of the session.

For people on a tighter budget, I also teach small groups of no larger than 4 people privately.  The cost of the class is split among the students. This setup allows for the support and inspiration of a small group in which you can still get a high level of personal attention.  There is more consistency because the participants stay the same from class to class.

Corporate classes are unique opportunities for companies to offer their employees a supplement to a benefits package.  Classes may also be tax deductible. They provide a non-competitive environment in which to cultivate unity among co-workers and promote team building.  Sessions may be conveniently scheduled before or after work, or during lunch hour.  Since the classes take place on site, it is more time efficient for both employees and employers.  Having yoga at work allows the students to immediately transition into a more effective workday.
